Dear Harriet and family, I miss you all to a very immeasurable extent. I miss Sister Lu's warm, sugary coffee cake. We receive very small rations each. We receive hardtack (a bland biscuit cracker) and the most watered-down coffee one can imagine! Not only are our rations not-filling and not- appetizing, but they are also in such small portions that one feels the same before and after eating. Oh, how I am excited to taste and smell home once again! Lots of Love, Thomas Norton (I did bring the hardtack to class)
